A Yummy Tradition...

When my mom lived here, she would make these wonderful cookies called Rosette Cookies.  I had always helper her make them when I was younger.  The process is really quite simple...mix the batter and then use a rosette iron to fry them in Crisco. mom moved away a few years ago and we haven't had Rosette Cookies in awhile.  This was the year I revived the tradition.  My grandmother gave me a rosette iron last year...I have been told it is at least 60 years old.  I called my mom for the recipe and got to work teaching Riley how to make the cookies...she did a fantastic job!  We were able to package up a few containers for my cousins (who LOVE these cookies) for Christmas and make a few extra for us.

Supplies:  Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Paper, Kraft & Pale Pink Cardstock, White Gel Pen, Scallop Punch, Pink Glitter, Chipboard Letters

Just a Quick Note...

I thought I would put together a set of useful note cards for a few friends this Christmas.  There is actually a fourth card that did not make the photos for some reason...but can you tell I got some Papertrey goodies in the last few weeks...I used a few of the new stamp sets from November.  I almost love packaging as much as creating the cards.  The color scheme is black, pink, white & grey.
