Family Christmas Cards-2010

For the original inspiration check out Dawn McVey's blog HERE.  She created these wonderful hostess gifts for the upcoming holidays.  I was happy to finally use the ever popular doily on my card front.  I already wanted a red, black & white theme to the holiday cards to I was very happy when I found a paper pack at Hobby Lobby with amazing holiday paper in those very colors.  I antiqued the doily with Chamomile tea dye duo and I die cut a piece of black felt, the flowers & the ric rac strips.  The inside is empty so I can include our family picture that we are taking at Disney World...we might be doing it when you are reading this post actually.  Some other great finds I found today while out & about...Martha Stewart punch around set on total clearance at Michael's ($12.00), Valentine acrylic stamps (never to early to start on those), adorable clear acrylic birthday set (both stamp set were like $3)...also when I got home my new PTI order came...now I get to play with those goodies later tonight...especially the banner builder set.
