PTI-Friend Card

I made a quick card with another set I just received...called Flutterby Friend.  I was cruising through the gallery at Papertrey Ink and came across a beautiful card created by Betsy Veldman, click HERE to view it.  She cleverly used the larger butterfly to create a wonderful background paper.  I used Fresh Snow ink to create my background...I have to say, the ink almost gave the images a raised up texture...it was really quite cool.
Other products used:  MS Border Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, PTI Beautiful Blooms II #1 Die-large die, SU Cardstock-More Mustard & Marigold Morning, SU ink-Marigold Morning, Basic Brown, So Saffron.

PS...also got my first floral frog to display the current cards on my work table.

Other things that happened this weekend...What else do you do with a 3-day weekend?  Organize.  I went through every inch of the scrapbook/computer table after finding some great inspiration HERE.  The following pictures are just a sliverof what I organized...everything now has a place and I am happy to report I found approx. 25 rolls of adhesive...I hope this will eliminate me buying extras that I just don't need.

The other thing we did this weekend was celebrate Labor Day...It is no secret I have a crush on The Pioneer Woman...I have made every recipe in her cookbook and I am an avid visitor to her blog.  If you have never heard of Ree Drummond, I encourage you to visit her HERE.  She was once a city girl now living on a ranch raising kids, cooking and takes amazing photos.  I found her recipe for Restaurant Style Salsa...can I just say...YUM!  It even looks like the salsa we get from our local Mexican Restaurant-Lomeli's.  HERE is the recipe.  I know this recipe was outstanding...because the bowl was empty at the cookout and the leftover I had hidden in my fridge went missing about 9pm last night...never to be seen again!

And thanks for the reminder about the Pioneer Woman. I haven't visited her in a while, but looks like I'll need to if I want that awesome salsa!

How would you like to come and organize me Debra. Spent 10 min looking for something that I thought I had and it turns out I don't. And it appears that you are a great cook as well as a great card maker.
