What I've been working on...

I LOVE this card...I saw the layout and aging technique at the Papertrey blog. They used a beautiful stamp set called 'On A Limb'...I think...it was gorgeous. Since I am trying to save $$ for Regionals coming up I decided to try their card with a stamp set I already own...Garden Silhouettes. This was a former hostess set that is no longer available...*tear*. The colors of the cardstock are Chocolate Chip, Confetti Cream and Purely Pomegranate. The stamp was first stamped with Purely Pomegranate (which my pad is really juicy for some reason), then I colored over the branches with Chocolate Chip Marker...But to go back even further...I first took the Confetti Cream and cut it into random blocks. I aged each block with a sponge and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Stain...I did this in a circular motion. I then reassembled the blocks onto a piece of Purely Pomegranate. I tied the Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon around the front of the card. On the inside I took a spare piece of Confetti Cream and used a Fiskars Border Punch, stamped a 'Thinking of You' sentiment in the same type of ink like the front Purely Pomegranate and Chocolate Chip Marker. The inside piece of cardstock was also aged with the same Tea Stain Distress Ink. I can imagine all the different possibilities with this type of layout...easpecially in the soft subtles family group coming up for Spring.
