Okay...okay, the name of the blog is Project: Scrapbook. So where are all of the scrapbook pages you ask? Well, here are 2 12x12 layouts that were finished recently. Let me first say, these pictures are approximately 6 months old...Yes, I am behind. The first layout is from the Racine Zoo in Racine Wisconsin. I visited the zoo with my kids and best friend Alisha and her kids last year. The kids were off from school and we were looking for a 'new' place to visit. This zoo was really nice. It was substantially more laid back than the 'big city' zoos we normally visit and they had a surprising amount of wildlife to view. This is a definite re-visit for this year. I almost always use DCWV textured cardstock for my scrapbook pages...it is very sturdy to use and it does have an eye appealing texture that I love. I know I know...I don't use SU Cardstock...mostly because I can only get it in variety packs now and not just wholepacks of 1 color...I do however, use SU CS to mount photos or to use in my Cuttlebug as accents on the page. The other paper I used on this layout is my FAVORITE brand of manstream scrapbook paper...BASIC GREY. I tore the paper for the corner pieces and distressed the edges by rolling it ans crumpling it. I also was able to use my Cricut to cut the title page (I almost always use te Cricut for titles). Other items used on this page was my computer to type the journaling...I know how most scrapbookers like to journal in their own handwriting and sometimes I do...however, for the most part I like the clean-ness of the computer fonts and with all of the choices to use I think I have close to 800 different types to choose from-I almost always prefer them), clear stamps from Art-Muse (I think) in zoo creatures, and a large brad/button that says 'buddies' with my Crop-A-Dile.
