Birthday card

I first have to give credit for this card to Jenny Moors (http://www.stampingmoments.blogspot.com/) she created a similar card using her birthday embossing folder and nestabilities plates. Her color scheme was a little more muted and this card but very beautiful. I thought of making this card for a older girls birthday so when my youngest went to her friends bday this Sunday I thought this card was too bold for a 5 year old...so I made another identical to this one, only lighter colors...and of course I was in a hurry to get to the party I did not take a picture of the card I gave. The color scheme was pink base card, lime green birthday embossed, and white and pink Nestabilities. The ribbon became a pink tafetta and I did stamp a candle on the cupcake. I tried everything on a scratch paper for this...I tried a lime green flocking that I happen to have handy (didn't work), a hologram embossing powder (didn't work)...I think because the paper is textured it was becoming difficult. The only thing that would work I guess would be to emboss in white and then color the embossing with an SU marker in green or pink.
