Frieda Fox is in the House!

I was so excited to see my order from Reverse Confetti in my mailbox today!  I ordered Frieda Fox because I have developed a HUGE love of Copic markers.  She is perfect to color in with them.  However, Copic markers are like super I have only been buying a few every other week.  So...until I get the color combinations I need for her I tried my hand at paper piecing.  Paper piecing is when you stamp the image on multiple sheets of card stock and designer paper and piece it all back together again like a big puzzle.  Luckily for me she is an awesome image to do this with as well.

Here is what I came up with:

I paired her with a great new paper I found at my local scrapbook is called letterpress by Bazzill Basics has a great texture to it.  I also used the coordinating paper called Chevron Stripe & Blue Dot.  I also added a staple to hold the banners and a button with some hemp twine. A fun little card if I say so myself.

Ink:  SU Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Bazzill Basics Paper Chevron Stripe, Blue Dot, Letterpress
Misc:  Button, twine, staple

Here is the card I came up with:

The polka dots make an already happy camper even happier I think.  I got quite a few other goodies in this I will be busy make some Easter themed cards among other things.  Tomorrow should be a PTI day and that package will be bringing some super awesome stuff for me to make.  Have a wonderful evening...:)

Reverse Confetti-March 2014 Color Challenge PART 2

Can I first say how much I love filters...make everything look sexy...:)

Since I can enter as many cards as I want on the color challenge on Reverse Confetti...I may do just that.  Here is my second entry into the contest.  I took the inspiration photo almost literally...a navy floral, green polka dot & yellow patterned paper.  Here is the inspiration photo again:

And here is my card:

I was able to do a few things on this card that are my favorite "go to's" if you will...a small wooden clothespin, 1/2 doily, eyelets & a great bow.  I saw a great technique on how to tie the bow through the one use a piece of narrow cardstock to hold the ribbon and not let it go through.  I wish I could remember who posted that...I have been on so many sites lately...When I find it I will post the link.

Dies:  Reverse Confetti Tag Me, PTI 1.5" Limitless Layers Circle Die, PTI Banner Borders Die
Ink:  SU Night of Navy
Cardstock:  PTI White, SU yellow patterned paper (very old retired paper)
Misc:  Doily, Dot embossing mat, eyelets, yellow DMC floss, Mini Clothespin

Reverse Confetti March Sketch Submission

Wow has it been awhile since I have posted anything on this blog.  Well it would have to be something super special for me to come back...and it is.  I found a new stamp company a few weeks back.  PTI is adding a member to their design team...and I followed a link to her blog and found this great little stamp company...she is also a designer for them as well.  :)
I decided to give them a try and order a small selection of stamps & dies.  I am so impressed with this company.  No...they are not paying me to say  By the way...can I tell you how great their customer service is...I ordered stuff from both Reverse Confetti & MFT a day apart...I got the Reverse Confetti within 2 days of ordering...I ordered them on a Saturday!!!  I don't expect that all the time...but once in awhile is FANTASTIC!!!
Back to the post at hand though...I decided to give their March Sketch a try.  Here it is:

And here is my card:

Goodies:  Go Together Stamp Set, Arrow Die, Sweet Treat Tent Die, Sequins, Stickles Glitter Glue, Doily, SU Chocolate Chip Ink, Random paper scraps.

New PTI Goodies...

First up is Mega Gracious Vases...I did not buy the die to go with this set but the vases are super easy to cut out.  Both  cards today use Basic Grey paper...this one is from Konichiwa.
Next up is Basic Grey Lemonade paper line with PTI Floral Foliage Die & Stamp.  I also experimented with die cutting a coaster with the Floral Foliage Die...then I mounted the Lemonade paper on top of it.
